Questions:
The problem for the reicht with this one is that they already had
Baldwin as a "crazy left-wing loon" but "nice guy" Hannity
comes off as the douchebag smear merchant he is, how will they spin it?
Plus. How
many reicht-wing shows will Hannity appear on talking about this (incl. his
own) versus how many will Alex Baldwin do?
Answer:
"Sean Hannity tried to spin his recent ambush of actor Alec Baldwin by
appearing on Fox News' 'Dayside' Monday (March 27, 2006) to give his version
-- and his version only -- of what happened...."
"...Despite having played the clip on 'Dayside' so that the audience
could hear the events as they transpired, Hannity went on to claim that he
had confronted Baldwin with 'substance' and Baldwin responded with name-calling.
That's clearly false, based on 'Dayside's' own tape."

Swedish foreign minister Laila Freivalds (sec. of state) have left her job after it becomes clear that she lied about her involvement in shutting down a far-right wing website that had a Mohammed cartoon contest.
In short.
During the hight of the Mohammed cartoon controversy, with violence in the
Middle East, Pakistan and Indonesia, the political wing of the far-right "movement"
in Sweden decided that they would have their own Mohammed cartoon contest.
The swedish security police assessed that the
threat-level against swedes would rise in places like Gaza.
The state department contacted the internet supplier of the far-right site
and they shut it down.
According to our constitution, it's illegal for any member of the
government to interfere with what's written in the press (the contest
was being held at the website of a paper published by the far-right)
One member of the state department, who's working close to Freivalds, takes
responsibility.
Freivalds claims to have had nothing to do with it and the PM criticizes the
state dept. employee.
After an investigation it becomes clear that she knew what the employee was
doing and that they had talked about it.
Freivalds resigns.
Freivalds was already under pressure for not acting fast enough after the Tsunami and she was also taking a lot of heat for former FM Anna Lindhs acting when the swedish security police turned over two swedish citizens to the CIA (Lindh was murdered in 2003).
This is the second major free speech case in Sweden over the last six months,
"rev" Ake
Greens statements that "gays are a cancer and sick" being the
other one. The legal case against Green had nothing to do with free speech,
but was still perceived as that.
Green was made into a martyr as will the far-right party. If they had published
what they wanted and then been openly debated this would not have happened.
Visit the far-right website, have a look around and maybe a laugh. Cause after all, they're pretty sad people, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't have a voice.

"The
reality, say several aides who did not wish to be quoted because it
might displease the president, did not really sink in until Thursday
night. Some White House staffers were watching the evening news and thought
the president needed to see the horrific reports coming out of New Orleans.
Counselor Bartlett made up a DVD of the newscasts so Bush could see
them in their entirety as he flew down to the Gulf Coast the next morning
on Air Force One.
How this could be—how the president of the United States could have
even less 'situational awareness,' as they say in the military, than the average
American about the worst natural disaster in a century—is one of the
more perplexing and troubling chapters in a story that, despite moments of
heroism and acts of great generosity, ranks as a national disgrace."
We're sure that not even the village idiot would wait for the DVD to come out three days later before acting or at least asking questions.
We also hope that the cake from McCain tasted delicious.
