THE PENTAGON AND VIDEOGAMES
The Pentagon's "experts" on how terrorist are using the Internet are worried about people using special plug-ins to popular videogames and in the process becoming terrorists.
The "experts" are unaware that the video clip they found on the Internet is...
1) From the actual game, not a "terrorist plug-in", cause...
2) In the videogame, you can play as anyone you like. Chinese, arab, american.
3) The sound in the clip is from "Team America - World Police"
4) The games - Battlefield 2 - is not designed by an american company, which they claim, but by DICE (swedish). Just published by EA (US).
5) The guy who put the music together with the film clip lives in Europe and is not very hard to find for questioning. ABC seemed to have no problem locating him.

Rick Santorum trails in the polls.
Finds Weapons of Mass... something something

Rick Santorum* seems to
be getting more desperate

C&L (with video of st. Santie)

* this is getting boring, but we still have no picture of Santorum, so we have to settle for this one of Abramoff

Think Progress points out something interesting.

The White House should immediately announce whether it stands with Santorum or whether it stands behind the review conducted by Charles Duelfer and the Iraq Survey Group. Recall, in October 2004, Bush said of Duelfer’s analysis:

The chief weapons inspector, Charles Duelfer, has now issued a comprehensive report that confirms the earlier conclusion of David Kay that Iraq did not have the weapons that our intelligence believed were there.

So? Is the WH behind its ethics-frontman?

Reclaim the Issues
"Occupation, Not War"

- Thom Hartmann

If Democrats can succeed over the next three months in making it clear to average Americans that the "War In Iraq" ended in 2003, and that we're now engaged in an "Occupation Of Iraq," then Democratic suggestions to end or greatly diminish the occupation will take on a resonance and cogency that will both help them in an election year, and help to bring our soldiers to safety and Iraq to stability.

The Pirate Bay vs. The MPAA part II

The US government responded to the pressure from the MPAA by threatening to put Sweden on the WTO's surveillance list.
The lobby group even contacted the swedish prosecutor directly to "remind him" that he needed to act. They even went as far as to hire a P.I. to look into individuals involved at the file sharing site the Pirate Bay, who according to the MPAA is the single biggest threat to the movie industry.
The Local

SVT (in swedish)

Lobby groups already control US politics, but now they also control the politics and the police force of other countries. We're all fucked.

MURTHA (Meet the Press): He's in New Hampshire. He's making a political speech. He’s sitting in his air-conditioned office on his big, fat backside-saying stay the course. That’s not a plan! We've got to change direction. You can't sit there in the air-conditioned office and tell troops carrying seventy pounds on their backs, inside these armored vessels-hit with IED's every day-seeing their friends blown up-their buddies blown up-and he says stay the course? One of worlds worst terrorists killed

"Police in Chechnya killed rebel leader Abdul-Khalim Sadulayev during a special operation Saturday, authorities said.
...
Chechnya's separatist movement initially was rooted in nationalist sentiment, but in recent years has taken on a growing Islamic cast. Sadulayev had promoted efforts to spread the rebel movement beyond Chechnya's borders in the so-called "Caucasus Front" and attack Russian forces across the poverty-stricken and corruption-gripped south."

Michelle Malkin goes bananas over Hillary

We have no picture of Michelle Malkin, but this
one of Laura Ingraham should do. Same anger. .

The obsession with Hillary Clinton makes
Michelle post a video and change the content.

"What Malkin cuts off is that people were shouting “BRING THEM HOME!” They were not booing the troops. They were booing Hillary for not supporting the troops. I sat in that hall and know good and well no one in that crowd booed the troops. In fact, as I recall, during other speeches (like John Kerry’s, to the same audience) the same audience applauded expressions of support for the troops."

Edwards/Obama '08

He's kept himself a contender in '08, even as the press obsesses over Hillary. In a new poll of likely Iowa caucus voters released yesterday, Edwards beats Clinton 30 to 26 percent. It's the first time Hillary has trailed in a potential '08 match-up. And it's proof that Edwards's five trips to Iowa this year--and nine in the past two years--are paying off.

Happy National Day 6th of June 2006!!

On the 6th of June 1523 Gustav Vasa is crowned king of Sweden (after driving the evil danes out of the then "country" of Sweden) and the constitution of 1809 is ratified on this date.

Some claim that there has been some "modification" of history when it comes to choosing the date of our National Day. This to increase the national pride in the 1890's when the day was first celebrated. But whatta hell!
Any day that you wave the flag and celebrate the greatest country in the world (see pod below) is a good day to us.
